《大明穿越時空記》是「古刻薪傳——超越技術的中國書籍」跨學科研究項目的延伸教育項目，由前嶺南大學數碼藝術與創意產業系助理教授（研究）陳芳芳教授主持策劃，並特邀藝術家林建才先生參與繪製。 本項目推出中、英、尼泊爾及烏爾都語四種語言版本，除開放線上電子書閱覽外，還將在特定活動期間免費派發中文實體繪本，以饗讀者。本繪本以穿越時空的敘事手法，深入淺出地展現中國書籍及刻印技術的歷史演變和多元面貌，藉此培養小朋友對中華文化和中國藝術史的興趣。
Dai Ming: Keeper of Time and Legacy serves as an educational extension of the interdisciplinary research initiative Print and Preservation: Chinese Books Beyond Technology. Led and curated by Prof. Chen Fong Fong, former Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Digital Arts and Creative Industries at Lingnan University, the project features illustrations by invited artist Kinchoi Lam.
In addition to e-books available online in Chinese, English, Nepali, and Urdu, the Chinese printed edition will be distributed free of charge at specific events. Through an engaging time-travel narrative, this picture book vividly presents the historical evolution and diverse dimensions of Chinese bookmaking and printing techniques, aiming to spark children's curiosity about Chinese culture and art history.
